Hi, I’m Christopher Altorf and I have been a Visual Storyteller for 15+ years.

My role revolves around creating and managing compelling visual content to engage and captivate audiences across various platforms. In a world where visual communication is paramount, my job is to harness the power of video to tell stories, convey messages, and build brand identity.

One of the primary responsibilities is to conceptualize and develop creative video ideas that align with the organization's goals and target audience. This involves collaborating with different teams, including marketing, creative, and sometimes external agencies, to understand the brand's essence and objectives.

Whether it's a promotional video, a tutorial, or an informational piece, I strive to ensure that the content resonates with the intended audience.

The video creation process begins with strategic planning and scriptwriting. Crafting a compelling narrative is crucial, as it sets the foundation for a visually engaging video. I am adept at combining storytelling techniques with a deep understanding of visual aesthetics to create a seamless and impactful viewing experience.

Once the script is finalized, I oversee or collaborate with video production teams to bring the vision to life. This includes coordinating shoots, directing talent, and ensuring that the production adheres to the established creative guidelines. I'm well-versed in the technical aspects of video production, including camera work, lighting, and sound, to guarantee a high-quality final product.

Post-production is a critical phase where I work with video editors to refine the footage, add graphics or animations, and enhance the overall visual appeal. Attention to detail is paramount during this stage to ensure the video meets industry standards and aligns with the brand's visual identity.

Distribution and promotion of the video content are equally important. I strategize and implement plans to share the content across relevant platforms, optimizing it for each channel's unique requirements. This may involve collaborating with social media managers, SEO specialists, and other marketing professionals to maximize the video's reach and impact.

In addition to creating original content, I continuously analyze performance metrics and audience feedback to refine strategies and improve future video content. This involves staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and platform algorithms to ensure that the content remains relevant and effective.

Ultimately, as a storyteller, my role is to leverage the power of visuals to enhance brand visibility, engage audiences, and contribute to the overall success of the organization in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
